Radiant School has taken a proactive approach to enhancing communication and transparency with students and parents alike by organizing a series of orientation sessions and curriculum sharing programs throughout the first week of the new academic year. These initiatives reflect the school’s ongoing commitment to nurturing a supportive, informed, and engaged learning community.
The orientation programs, designed for students of all grades, aimed to familiarize them with the school’s updated academic framework, behavioral expectations, and overall learning environment. Held in the school Gautam Buddha Hall and facilitated by academic coordinators, class teachers, and the school administration, the sessions covered a wide range of topics including classroom procedures, the code of conduct, extracurricular opportunities, and academic goals for the year ahead.
According to the school vice principal, Mr. Dev Raj Gelal, “Our goal is to start the academic year with clarity and purpose. Orientation provides students with the direction and motivation they need, while curriculum sharing empowers parents to become active partners in their child’s educational journey.”
In tandem with the student orientation sessions, Radiant School also conducted a comprehensive Curriculum Sharing Program for parents across all grade levels. These sessions allowed parents to meet with teachers, gain insight into the course content, assessment strategies, and teaching methodologies being employed throughout the year. Teachers presented subject-wise plans and emphasized the importance of consistent communication between home and school.
“By understanding what their children will be learning and how they will be assessed, parents are better equipped to support learning at home,” said Mrs. Pratiksha Dahal, the Academic Coordinator. “This initiative also opens doors for dialogue and feedback, which is essential in creating a dynamic learning ecosystem.”
In addition to academic matters, the school also hosted a special New Parents’ Orientation Program . This segment, attended our new students’ parents, focused on important school regulations regarding attendance, discipline, digital device usage, safety protocols, and the code of ethics expected of all members of the school community. Special emphasis was placed on values like respect, responsibility, and resilience—cornerstones of Radiant’s holistic education philosophy.
Parents expressed appreciation for the school’s inclusive approach. Mrs. Anisha Kharel Upreti , a parent of a Grade 5 student(Aarav Upreti), commented, “It’s encouraging to see how transparent and well-organized the school is. These sessions gave us a clear roadmap and the confidence that our children are in a structured, nurturing environment.”
The events concluded with interactive Q&A sessions, allowing participants to voice concerns, seek clarifications, and suggest improvements. Feedback from attendees will be used by the administration to further refine school practices and enhance student outcomes.
Radiant School continues to lead by example in fostering a collaborative academic culture. By investing in early-year engagement through orientation and curriculum sharing, the school reinforces its belief that education is most effective when students, parents, and educators work hand in hand.
