We are  excited to announce the launch of the Reading Improvement Program, aimed at fostering a strong reading culture among students. This program will be implemented for all students from Grade 1 to Grade 10 and will be conducted according to a structured schedule starting from Wednesday, 10th Mangsir, 2082. Parents and guardians are requested to support and cooperate fully to ensure the success of this initiative.

Objectives of the Program:

  • To develop a habit of regular reading among students.

  • To encourage students who speak less or have low self-confidence to read aloud and enhance their speaking skills.

  • To improve students’ comprehension and communication skills.

  • To nurture a love for books and reading by connecting students with relevant reading materials.

Program Structure:

  1. Daily 15-Minute Reading Sessions at School:
    A 15-minute focused reading session will be conducted every day outside regular class hours. This dedicated time will help students develop the habit of reading regularly and consistently.

  2. 30-Minute Reading at Home with Parents:

    • Parents are requested to dedicate 30 minutes daily to supervise their child’s reading at home.

    • Children should be encouraged to read the assigned books aloud while parents listen attentively.

    • Parents may provide guidance or feedback as needed and coordinate with teachers if required.

  3. Reading Materials:

    • Grades 1 and 2: Students will read the materials assigned by their teachers.

    • Grades 3 to 10 (Nepali): Students will read the “Banaun Sanskari” book provided by the school.

    • English Subject: Students will use the reading materials assigned and provided by their respective teachers.

  4. Book Review and Assessment:
    The school has arranged a quarterly review system to assess students’ progress in reading. Students will have opportunities to demonstrate their reading skills and actively participate in review activities.

The school firmly believes that this program, with the full cooperation of parents, will significantly strengthen students’ reading habits and skills. By working together, we can cultivate a strong reading culture that will enhance comprehension, communication, and overall academic growth among our students.
