The internet has revolutionized the way we live. It is the most important communications tool ever created. The internet is the biggest network of computers. Internet stands for Interconnected Networks. It is the collection of millions of computers all over the world. It connects millions of people to online resources each day. It allows access to a vast amount of information. The internet is originated from an experimental network called ARPANET created in
1969 by the U.S. Department of Defence’s Advanced Research Projects Agency. The goal of this network was to establish a computer network which could carry government as well as military information. Even though this network was first initially crated for personal purpose later it becomes a boon to world as it brought world closer. Because of the internet, the world has become a global village. The internet offers flawless and faster communication. It has covered the entire globe and no matter where you are, you can communicate even from the remotest of the locations. Getting in touch with families and friends becomes easy through it. Communication has never been this easier before. The internet made our lives easier. Now, we are watching movies online, buying goods online, ordering foods online, paying bills online, studying online and doing many other things, which weren’t possible before the invention of the internet. Many innovations based on the internet are improved our living standards. The internet encourages freedom of speech. Earlier only some people have the power and courage to share their views with the public, but now anyone can express their opinions through social Medias, websites or other similar medium, which were made possible due to invention of the internet. It is empowering everyone including those who are residing at the remotest place. It also gives voice to the people.Sharing information or any files can be done in fraction of seconds.Through the internet, you can learn about anything at any time. There are many resources to help you gain knowledge.The internet has created a lot of opportunities that weren’t before. It created a lot of jobs. At present, the majority of the employment
opportunities are based on the internet. Internet of things is one of the best innovations through which human lives have become easier and more efficient. The effort in manual labour has been minimized due to the availability to technological innovation. Due to the internet, students are able to take any course in the college of their choices through E- learning. Developing skills is much easier now due to the availability of free courses on the internet. When the world is fighting the pandemic, several countries had to impose lockdowns. In that time, people stayed connected through the internet and know the updates online. The mental health of many would have been affected negatively if there isn’t internet at that pandemic period. The internet provides vital sources of information. Search engines like Bing, google, yahoo contain in-depth information on financial matter, government laws and services, markets, technical support etc. It offers information at various levels of study and covers everything from scholarity articles to ones directed at children.Because of the vast benefits of the internet, it has become an integral part of human lives. People cannot imagine life without internet.
